"Your word is a lamp to  my feet and a light for my path." Psalm 119:105

Bible Study

Attending at least one Bible Study a week is an essential part of the church "fruitful activity". Commitment to know the Word of God is an instilled desire as of the proofs that we are growing in our walk with the Lord.

When planning to travel to a new place, a responsible person always look at a map to avoid getting lost in the journey.  Without looking a map, it will probably take you longer than you had planned. You may end up going to some places you did not intend to go or visit. Trips are easier if we keep a map handy and study or reference it more often. Sometimes when travelling we tend to wait until we are lost to put our our map - for sure we realized that we have already wasted valuable time and effort after we are lost.

At first, I did not fully understand the purpose of attending Bible Study. After two years of permanently attending Bible Studies, I understood the importance of attending Bible Studies. The Bible is God's roadmap for our lives. The Bible tells us what to think, what to reflect, what to plan, what to act, what to do, what to check, how to walk, and where to go. The instructions a believer needs to guide him or her through life are contained in the pages of the Bible.

Listening to a preacher every Sunday service is not enough. Bible Study is an essential part of a Christian's life. God has given us His Word to guide, instruct, build, and encourage us. Listening to Pastor preach every Sunday, though valuable, but is not enough. We must set aside a time in our busy schedule to delve into God's Word through personal Bible Study and attending Bible Study groups to receive the full benefit. Being faithful to study the map of God has given us and seek His path for our lives, He will guide us one step at a time.

God's word is the lamp to our feet and the light to our path. [Psalm 119:105] Through Bible Studies we will discover the truth. Life is a journey. If we do not stop and look at the map, you may still end up somewhere, but it may not be where you have planned on going.

Through SWMI Pastor's desire and commitment to fulfill the the mission and vision of the church, Pastor Merz Driz  is tirelessly planning, developing, and implementing a series of Bible Study Resources. Pastor Merz  has also encouraged the SWMI family members to become Bible Study Teachers. Through prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, new Bible Study teachers are emerging at SWMI.

The first two series of Bible Studies that the SWMI  family have studied are the 13 lessons of "Growing in Salvation" and the 14 lessons of  "Growing in Christ".  Please feel free to download these materials from our the Bible Study Resources' Page.  All we ask that you may give credit to Pastor Merz.

If you like to participate in one of our Bible Studies, please  contact us.
